Frequently asked questions

Ordering, sizing, delivery, returns and the bespoke process — answered.

Ordering

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can check out as a guest. An account simply makes reordering faster and keeps your order history, wishlist and delivery details in one place.

Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?

Message us within 12 hours and we will amend or cancel it before the piece is packed. Once a parcel has been collected by the courier it has to be handled as a return.

Do you hold pieces?

We hold a piece for 24 hours on request while you decide, or for 48 hours against an EFT payment. Limited-edition pieces cannot be held.

Is a piece still available if the size shows as sold out?

Often, yes. Many silhouettes can be made to order in your size in four to six weeks. For limited editions we keep a short waiting list in case one is returned.

Sizing & fit

How do I know which size to take?

Measure your bust, waist and hip and compare them with our size chart. If you fall between sizes, take the larger one — alterations are complimentary within 30 days.

Are alterations included?

Hem, waist, bust and strap adjustments on Saint Therese pieces are complimentary within 30 days of delivery. More substantial reconstruction is quoted separately.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes. Book a private fitting and we will have your shortlist ready in your size when you arrive.

Delivery & returns

How long does delivery take?

Standard courier is 3 to 5 business days nationwide and express is 1 to 2 business days to main centres. Everything is dispatched within one to two business days of your order. Full detail on our delivery page.

Is delivery free?

Standard delivery is complimentary on orders over R5 000.00. Boutique collection by appointment is always free.

Can I return a piece?

Unworn pieces with tags attached can be exchanged within 14 days. Bespoke, altered and sale pieces are final. See returns & exchanges.

Bespoke & the boutique

How does a bespoke commission work?

Four appointments over eight to twelve weeks: consultation, design and fabric selection, toile and fittings, then finishing. Our bespoke page sets out the full process.

How far ahead should I start a bridal gown?

Four to six months before the date. We take a limited number of brides each season so earlier is always better.

Do you dress bridal parties and mothers of the bride?

Yes — bridesmaids, matrons of honour and mothers of the bride and groom can all be dressed from the same consultation, coordinated in palette without looking like a set.

Payment & security

Which payment methods do you accept?

Visa and Mastercard, PayFast (card, Instant EFT and SnapScan) and direct EFT. Orders paid by EFT are held for 48 hours pending payment.

Is my payment secure?

Payments are processed by our payment provider over an encrypted connection. Saint Therese never sees or stores your full card number.

Do you offer payment plans?

For bespoke commissions we work on a 50% deposit with the balance due at the final fitting. Contact us to arrange this.

Still have a question?

We answer every message personally, usually the same day. WhatsApp is fastest for sizing and stock; email is better for anything detailed.
