Terms & conditions
The terms that apply when you buy from Saint Therese.
Last updated: 26 July 2026
These terms
By placing an order you agree to these terms. They apply alongside our privacy policy, delivery terms and returns policy, which form part of this agreement.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
Orders
- An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order by email.
- We may decline an order where a piece is unavailable, a price has been listed in error, or we cannot verify payment.
- Stock is limited and shown in good faith. If a piece sells out between your order and our confirmation, we will offer an alternative, a made-to-order option, or a full refund.
Pricing and payment
- All prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable.
- Delivery is charged separately and shown before you confirm the order.
- Payment is taken at checkout, except for EFT orders, which are held for 48 hours pending payment.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before dispatch. If a price was materially wrong, we will contact you before proceeding.
Delivery
Delivery times are estimates given in good faith and begin when the courier collects the parcel. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes once payment has cleared in full.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Redelivery costs arising from an incorrect address are for your account.
Returns and exchanges
Our returns terms are set out in full on the returns & exchanges page and are incorporated here by reference. Bespoke, made-to-order, altered and sale pieces are final and not returnable, save where faulty.
Bespoke commissions
- Commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due at the final fitting.
- Design changes requested after the toile stage may attract additional cost and time, which we will quote before proceeding.
- Because a commissioned piece is cut to your measurements, it cannot be cancelled or returned once cutting has begun.
- Missed fittings may extend the delivery timeline. We will always tell you the impact honestly.
Intellectual property
All designs, photography, text and marks on this site belong to Saint Therese and may not be reproduced, copied or used commercially without our written permission. Our designs may not be replicated for manufacture.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a delayed delivery in relation to an event.
Where a date is critical, tell us before ordering and choose express delivery or boutique collection.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
These terms are a template drafted in good faith. Have them reviewed by a legal professional before the site goes live.
