Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Who we are
Saint Therese (“we”, “us”) operates the online boutique at sainttherese.co.za. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy, as defined by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to info@sainttherese.co.za.
What we collect
- Details you give us — name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, measurements you share for fitting, and anything you write in an enquiry.
- Order information — the pieces you buy, order value, delivery method and order history.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device and pages viewed, collected to keep the site working and secure.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have asked to receive our newsletter.
We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Card details are handled directly by our payment provider.
Why we use it
- To process and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- To provide sizing, styling and aftercare support.
- To send you the newsletter, where you have asked for it.
- To improve the site and protect it against fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with parties who need it to do their job for us: our courier partners, our payment provider, our email platform, and our hosting provider.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for five years to meet South African tax and consumer-protection requirements. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry correspondence is kept for two years.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your shopping bag, wishlist and preferences between visits. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Clearing your browser data will clear your bag and wishlist. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, this policy will be updated first.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or stop using it for marketing.
Send any request to info@sainttherese.co.za. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting how we use your information will also be emailed to subscribers.
This policy is a template drafted in good faith. Have it reviewed by a legal professional before the site goes live.
