Why our basics cost what they do
Fabric, not branding
A plain knit has nowhere to hide. We buy heavier gauges and longer-staple yarns than a basic usually gets, because the whole point of the piece is that it still looks right after fifty wears.
Cut on the same blocks
Our tees, trousers and layers are drafted on the same body blocks as the gowns. That is why a Saint Therese basic sits at the shoulder and the waist the way an occasion piece does.
Designed to repeat
Everything here is made to be worn against what you already own, and against everything else on this page. Neutral bases, considered proportion, and no seasonal detailing to date them.
